Cincinnati, like most cities these days, has a multitude of Karaoke bars to choose from on any given night. If you are ever out on a Friday night, you might want to try the Pirates Den on Anderson Ferry Rd. in Western Hills, where Cincinnati Karaoke host Robin Saint James brings her unique style of Karaoke entertainment to the public. She and her sidekick Sean Caldwell provide lots of laughs and guarenteed fun.

Robin is also a writer for local Cincinnati newspaper, and the author of a book called “Karaoke Krazy! Is This On?” The book is a humorous, satyrical, look at the Karaoke phenomenon, and also gives tips on singing and various other topics, including how to create you own television show. Taking care of your piano does not only entail having it tuned up every two to five years. It would also appreciate a daily maintenance from the owner himself. What good would it do to a piano if it would just be left at one corner of the house, untouched for sometime? Absolutely nothing, and it would just gather dust and rust.

Yo, is Rap Just Another Four Letter Word?
As a boy I remember sneaking off with other boys to talk about girls and other unmentionables with my little buddies. We would curse a bit because it seemed like our right of passage. We were getting tougher and wiser like the bigger kids and it felt kind of good at the time. The language would disappear if our parents or any adult came within earshot of us. I look back on that as proof that the one thing that didn’t disappear was our conscience.

Stage volume has always a problem for musicians that play the local clubs. In my 20 years of playing music and 5 years of running sound, I have learned many things that I should and shouldn’t do as a musician. In the following paragraphs I will discuss the advantages of using smaller amps.

As a guitarist one of my concerns was not being able to hear myself on stage, even back many moons ago when I did use my half stack. I noticed that many of the guitarist in other more seasoned (veterans) bands were using combos and amps with single speakers. I got the nerve to ask one of them the reason that he used such a small amp.
