Music for Corporate Entertainment

For many years I have supplied music for and played in bands that provide music for corporate entertainment. Clients have included Audi, The Evening Standard, Sainsburys, P.C. World, Safeways, Large corporate clients at Henley and Ascot, I.T.V. and H.M. Treasury. Because of this experience I felt it would be relevant in putting down some pointers in helping clients choose the right kind of music for their particular corporate entertainment.

Interestingly enough, most corporate hospitality entertainment work tends to require music as an ingredient to a larger recipe. What I mean by this is a great deal of corporate events are offering a multi service package. Typically an organization may be putting on an evenings entertainment to thank its workforce for a particularly successful year. They may be offering music, food, comedy, a close up magician, a casino and a caricaturist. The corporate client organizing needs to decide what part the music has to play in the days/evenings entertainment.

The First Step And Most Important Thing In Learning Guitar

Most of the guitar lovers playing guitar for few years but still unsatisfied with their progress. They feel like still stand at the starting point and can’t enjoy their playing. This mainly caused by most of them don’t build up a strong foundation at the begining. I found that some of the guitar learners even just playing guitar for one to two years but are more better than so many that playing for over five years. This is the foundation problems. Me myself was an example when I started playing guitar long time ago.

The White Stripes Live in Concert!

When you watch those old B&W videos of the Beatles and see young girls screaming and crying it makes you wonder why they have such an animated reaction to a band. They threw themselves on each other and screamed so loud that the band could no longer tour at a certain point. Granted back when they played stadiums the Beatles used fewer amps than most bands use for a show at a local coffeeshop on a Thursday night, but the experience was so great the tears flowed and the screams deafened.

To me it is a wonder why The White Stripes don’t create that extreme of a reaction everywhere they play. That lump in your throat where you could burst into tears from the excitement, but you stop it, cuz that’s for the girls. Their show at the Orpheum Theater in Minneapolis last Saturday was just that good.

The Guitar: Its History and Construction

The guitar is one of the most familiar and common instruments the world over. It is descended from other stringed instruments that were common in Greece, in India, in Mexico and in Africa - in fact, throughout the known world. It’s descended from such instruments as the sitar, said to be sacred to the Hindo goddess Saraswati, and the lute, which Greek mythology claims was invented by the god Apollo himself.

It’s no wonder that the guitar has a history of association with the divine. The range and styles of music that can be played on the classic stringed instrument is incredible.

Basic Piano Drills (Exercises For Your Fingers)

Upon hearing the word piano, the very first thing that pops into your mind is the set of black and white keys. Anybody can play the piano believe me. You don’t necessarily need to go to music schools or hire certified music instructors to tell you how to pound those keys and play a song. You can be your own teacher as long as you have the interest and the eagerness to learn then it wouldn’t be so difficult.
All you need is a piano, song lyrics with chords and a piano chord chart. Play any of your favorite songs on the piano just like you do on a guitar. Learning to play the piano through chords is not the traditional learning procedure. You will still meet musical terms, read notes and other symbols but not through hectic musical lessons.

Things You Didn’t Know About Amadeus Mozart

Everybody knows Amadeus Mozart, the world’s most famous child piano prodigy. He was a composer, pianist, and performer – a total musician. He was born in Salzburg, Austria but nobody really knows where he is buried. For a famous persona, it is quite odd that everybody would know him and his music but not where he was buried.

Even his real name is not that popular. People know him as Amadeus but few knew he was born Johan Chrysostom Wolfgang Theophilus Mozart. And that his father called him Woferl.
